Many people currently not working are in this position because they were prevented from working when covid started. The two weeks to flatten the curve turned into approaching two years. Younger people saw their career paths destroyed. Many, forced to stop working, also lost their company provided health for themselves and their families. Young parents sending their kids to parochial schools could no longer afford the tuition, and then many schools closed. Most in TV were insulated from much of the pain. SS checks kept coming in. Medicare was there for you. We need to try and understand the other side as well.
Well said. It's a real problem that I don't think anyone has figured out yet. Hopefully, as we finally move past Covid things will normalize.
