If I get bad service, I do not return. If the food is not as good as I can get at home, I do not return. If the service is bad, I still give the waitress the benefit of doubt in case she is having a bad day, but I will give the minimum tip. I do not wish to encourage bad service. It the service is good, I always give above the average tip.
Since Covid, I have found that I can usually cook the same meal faster, better and cheaper. AND I give myself a great tip!
