Top income people pay most of the taxes. As a % of income - no way
Anyone who says "in no way do the top income earners pay more taxes", I know right away that this person really is ignorant of the facts. The top 1% pay almost 40% of the taxes. The bottom 50% pay 3.04%. People can argue that the wealthy should pay more than they currently are (top 3% pay over 50%), but anyone who says the wealthy pay less than others is not educated on the facts.
