Fair point. Nothing is perfect, vacination is one form of risk reduction.
It can't be effective until the antibodies start to work so vaccinated can still transmit the first few days. But their viral load is reduced and persists a shorter length of time. So they are less infectious
For proof look at the real world data data for states with low vaccination rates. Cases and especially hospitalization/deaths are significantly lower for the vaccinated.
More antiviral medications are nearing the end of clinical trial which should help reduce COVID anxiety.
