The mail service is in the situation it's in currently, because the Postmaster General wants it that way. He can't be "fired" by anyone other than the board, and the Board doesn't seem interested in firing him.
He is making bank by destroying the USPS. He has financial interests in other delivery services, and every time USPS suffers, more people use those other delivery services. This is simple logic, simple math. There's no zebra here at all; it's a horse.
It's not a secret, it's not a mysterious conspiracy alt-whatever political whosiwats. It's plain as day, known, a given.
