But, I think the biggest change that has affected passenger conduct is the aggressive marketing and pricing schemes designed to fill every seat on every plane. The planes are too crowded. I know they need to make a profit, but, I can remember when most flights had empty seats and you could stretch out and be more comfortable. I would rather pay more for more space. First class is an option, but I think the cost is not in line with the value, and it is really not designed to address the overcrowding problem.
I was flying all over the world from the mid 50’s on yes it was nicer but out of reach for many people , I can tell you this it’s not the seats that are a problem it’s the size of a majority of people sitting in them that’s the problem . It doesn’t take much work to get a cheaper fare if you want one but I for one think it’s a great bargain I flew home to Boston regular before Covid and I flew home this summer for $348 on jet blue and I’ll bet someone did worse or better then me and after my second shot I flew round trip first class for$3,880 to Thailand for a month and will probably fly there in January and fares are up for first class but I don’t think I’ll have to pay more then about $4,800 go raiders
