That being said if Chase is your bank and that was a check made out to your account that they did not accept, you can always ask for what's called a "counter check" which is a blank unprinted check and you have to fill out your name and bank account code which is right on the existing check of course, or just ask the teller nicely. I know you wanted to save if you sense the check cost you to get printed, and you should have also been able to just simply withdraw the money, and then tear up the check. Just remember everyone is under a lot of stress and you have to learn to relax a little extra yourself

I interpreted the OP as trying to cash a check written by a friend or relative who was not present. The OP had an account there, but they were not trying to cash their own check. Obviously, they could have withdrawn money from their own account.
