When I was a kid the neighborhood played ball on our street. We had a neighbor who hid in her bushes and God forbid a ball went into her yard she would pounce out with it in her hands and announced that she wasn’t giving it back. We learned to avoid her as much as possible, but she was a sad, mean-spirited woman and we felt sorry for her. All I can say about someone who intentionally would turn on their sprinklers on a woman with dementi is that it is sad. They need to get a hobby and remember that this is supposed to be the “friendliest” community. As a dog owner, I make sure my dog does not go onto anyone’s lawn. It is a matter of respect. I have a neighbor who allows her dog to poop on my front yard. She is an elderly lady who is sweet. I don’t stay up at night dwelling on it and so I let it go. Life is short.
