Hi. We are fast approaching the end of the one year warranty on our new home. We had a home inspector come out who said that our shingles are "blistered" and b/c of this defect, the roof (that is, all the shingles) should be replaced.

The developer is saying either the roof is fine, or if not, the shingle manufacturer (Certainteed) is responsible.

We have heard that this is not an isolated problem with these shingles and that other new homes have had the same problem.

Our question is, have you -- or do you know anyone who has -- had this same problem? And if so, we would love to know how the warranty claim was resolved.
