You can pretty much figure that any hurricane that hits the coast will be reduced at least on e category by the time it reaches The Villages because we are so far inland. As far as tornados... there is no "path" thru Florida that is prone to tornados. We were hit by one a couple years ago, but tornados have been recorded in every state, including Alaska and Hawaii. With the exception of "tornado alley" in the south central part of the US, we are in no more danger than anywhere else.
