We get our batt replacements from Battery Boys - the BEST and most reliable around. We have a Tomberlin elec cart and plan to keep it forever, worth the 3-4 yr investment in new batts for US.
Your situation... if you plan to use the cart even 6 times over the next year - new batteries (IMO) would be a horrible investment. Batt prices have increased so much the last few years. 8 six-volt batts would cost around $1,300.

If the batts last 4 years, even with excellent charging routine, that's about $55 per cart use based on 6X per year.
IMO it would be much better to sell the cart and rent a cart for the times you would want to drive one.
