Wireless is great for lots of devices but when you are streaming, nothing beats a hard wire. Instead of sharing the connection with all the other wired devices you get a dedicated connection to the router. So I plan on doing both....

That's what I did, I got a Spectrum non wireless cable modem, and have lines run throughout the house. . one with each coax location, including the lanai, and one to the middle of the house ceiling for the wireless access point. Don't forget the 4 plug, 2 gang outlets near the TVs and workstations for monitors and printers, tvs, and other electrical equipment.
Galaxy did the wires and the wireless access point in the ceiling, I did the NAT router and switching equipment, had to put in a second wiring closet, by Galaxy.
I used a netgear gigabyte switch and a ubiquity gigabyte edge router. The ubiquity edge router not in this picture
