Power, in times of yore, was fairly localized(except for a few exceptions: ie: the romans). Now with facts, data, info flying through the ether at light speed it's impossible for the everyday person to have a clue as to what's truly happening. we certainly won't find out from the flat screens or the internet. it is really weird.
