The Indians have had a strangle hold on gambling and use the profits to keep many of there tribes quiet about how they run there operations , the case of chief Billy was one of the only cases to get much publicity maybe because of the enormous amount of money squandered. There is nothing wrong with outside gambling interests it happens every where, in Massachusetts there is a new 2 1/2 billion Wynn casino just across the river from Boston in Everett which has a population of about 35,000 they get a minimum 30 million a year but was 50 million a year for being host city before Covid hit the surrounding towns like Boston receive money also , they also paid for new roads, environmental cleanups , cops and very good jobs , outside casinos would be more beneficial for fl then anything you get from the Indians . FYI business is starting to come back now that they reopened $87 million for august and September I’ll bet there’s a nice tax windfall on that
