Leaving all your stuff is okay if your stuff is not worth much to begin with. I have very expensive furniture that cannot be replaced with rooms to go junk. That being said, of course, get rid of as much as possible but measure your new house and your furniture. Also, getting new furniture is getting very difficult. I am dealing with this issue now and feel your pain.
