Although this is very frustrating to me it is something that i never realized when i was a snow bird coming here for 5 years, before we finally moved here. I was always so happy when we came to visit. And for the most part, everyone that i met was happy and friendly. Albeit, i am agitated at being booted out of an activity that i enjoy (but not enough to get there an hour early and wait). I will still smile and be friendly to those who want to enjoy our paradise here, too. They only get to share it for a short time. We are here every day, for life.

there is a difference between ''seasonal residents'' and ''snowbirds''. A seasonal resident is an owner who pays the same in fees and in a lot of cases they pay higher property taxes than full time residents because they don't claim florida residency but they only use the facilities part time and don't rent their house when they aren't using it. So in my estimation they are ''paying but not using'' which helps out the full time residents. I do resent people who rent out their homes to ''snowbirds'' and basically run a business where people are on vacation --paying for a rental unit and copiously use everything that's available. Because there is such heavy use things need more maintenance and replacement. I personally feel that ''owners'' should have priority in activities and should not have to wait in line. There must be some way that ''owners'' can get some long overdue rights.
