I think that the common denominator here is that regardless of breed, it's still just a DOG. Don't get me wrong, because I love dogs and have owned more than one most of my life. BUT, I would not own one in the villages and allow it to drop a load on my neighbor's yards. I have respect for other people's property. My dogs knew where they were allowed to unload and were always happy and well taken care of. But, even though they were considered family, they were still animals. I NEVER took a dog into a store, restaurant or business other than the Vets. I did not take my dog to a friend's home. People can love animals but still prefer them not to be in their faces.
