When I was in the fox hole , I never thought oh lord if I get thru this nightmare and they remove the shrapnel I'd love to pick up dog excrement in a clear plastic bag off my neighbors lawn (even tho we have a ton of dog parks for this event or better yet the dog lovers own lawn) then carry it though the neighbor hood like a bag of truffles on award night.

Hey, I just read a great book. It's called War Dogs. You should read it and then you might understand the connection and relationship between people and dogs...or not..
