Default A Good Salad Bar and/or more healthy choices

I really miss a restaurant with a good salad bar (especially one that you can get to go). Ruby Tuesdays is the only restaurant that I know of still open and they have never had a large choice of really fresh good lettuce. Sweet Tomato is greatly missed.

I find myself wondering if I am one of the few in TV that likes to pick up a large salad with a protein to bring home on occasion. We are being blessed with a new KFC, and we now have a new Wendy's (oh joy). One of our new chain restaurants told my husband that he could order a hamburger without a bun or a house salad for a gluten free option (really???)

I have fond memories of Mod Pizza before moving here. For those who haven't eaten at a Mod Pizza, not only can you put a large choice of toppings on a regular or gluten free pizza, but they have 3 sizes of salads with 3 types of lettuce and again, many choices of toppings (vegetables and meats). They have finally come to Florida but driving to Jacksonville or Parkland for a to go salad might be a little much. We lived somewhere that we had multiple choices where there were really good salads I could pick up on my way home.

I can only hope that we will get more health conscious restaurants.
