Normally I would DIY but as it turns out, it was not installed correctly from the start. There is supposed to be a piece of hard wood between the header bracket and the wall but it wasn't done (long story there). Now in order to put that thick piece of wood behind it the entire opener needs to be taken down and moved back about 1 1/2 inches or the track won't fit. Just didn't want to deal with it as a likely 1 or 2 hour job would take me 12 hours, torn knuckles and cause my wife to hide in the closet while I yell and curse as I drop all the tiny screws on the polka-dotted epoxy floor where nothing can be seen after it hits the ground and travels to places unknown. I'm learning from experience that sometimes the savings just ain't worth it.
