Just didn't want to deal with it as a likely 1 or 2 hour job would take me 12 hours, torn knuckles and cause my wife to hide in the closet while I yell and curse as I drop all the tiny screws on the polka-dotted epoxy floor where nothing can be seen after it hits the ground and travels to places unknown. I'm learning from experience that sometimes the savings just ain't worth it.

I would imagine if that’s studded 2 by 4 wall. The drywall will have to be cut out to expose the two 2x4s on each side. Support block installed (2x6, 8 or 10?) Anchored to wall studs, for flush anchor, and dry wall section repaired. Now you would have an correct anchor for the track. If that wall had metal studs O my? Anyway that what I would probably do. I’m guessing at minimum 6 hour job.
