Florida Smart ID is an optional, application-based version of your driver license or ID card, which can be downloaded on your smart device. It is not simply a photo of your license and does not replace your physical driver license, which will still need to carried when driving.


Which brings up the next question: What is it's purpose? Just for ID ? In 4 years here never needed just plain old "ID".
