Has anyone used KT Home Management services. I called them because my neighbor uses them to for their semiannual AC cleaning and inspection. We returned home from a shopping trip around 4:00pm and found the temperature was 82deg. the thermostat was set at 74deg. I checked and found out the furnace blower was running but the outside compressor was not. I KT and they asked if I used them before, I told them no I got their number from my neighbor. I was quoted $85 for a service call and a extra $40 after 5:00pm. I told them it could wait until the morning because I would rather not pay the extra cost. I received a call back aprox. 4:45pm and I was told that Kevin (owner) was on a call nearby and he will come over as soon a he was done with the call he was on, and waive the added service charge. Kevin arrived about 4:45pm, and just as he arrived it started to rain (light sprinkle). Never the less he started the trouble shooting and found a bad capacitor on the condensing unit. I got a large umbrella and covered him and the unit. He completed the repair in less then 15 minutes. I was impressed! The total charge was less then $200. Made my wife happy the house was cool again. I asked about his maintenance program, he explained it was for 3 years and included 2 yearly cleanings and inspection of the furnace and AC unit. Also all service charges waived and parts discounted if needed. I opted to buy the services because frankly I only had my furnace inspected once in 7yrs. The reason I asked if anyone has used KT before is because one of my neighbors swear by them and another neighbor had a bad experience with them. Maybe I just got lucky and the owner performed the service or maybe they are just that good. PS when I bought the 3 year service they waived the $85 service call, I just paid for the part.
