I do have a question though. I have bought a new router to replace the Comcast router which I have been renting at$14/mo. When I disconnect their's and replace it with the new one, is there anything else I have to do, or will it automatically connect to my TV's, computer, cell phones?

What you need to buy is a Modem (and a Router if you do not have a separate one already) to replace their Combination Modem/Router device.
Then You need to have the new Modem "Provisioned".
That means having it's identity added to their database as an authorized recipient.
This can often be done via internet (cell phone to comcast/"activate" ) or you can call them.
Google for all this info.
