Murder is against the law, period. And if he is chasing someone down the street and guns them down, pretty hard to define that as "self defense".

You are absolutely correct, IF/IF he was "chasing someone down the street and guns them down." BUT, that is NOT what happened, and anyone that has watched the video and/or observed the trial would know that. He/HE was being chased down the street and assaulted upon several times, even knocking him to the ground. He was justified in ridding society of a couple of vermin. The third guy that survived, may have mistaken him for a criminal shooter, and was still shot in self-defense. But, the third guy to be shot, was carrying a pistol illegally and should not have been chasing the young man down the street.
