...but on this I am with you 100% In the interest of full disclosure, I have a small dog that we like to bring with us to the squares.
A few years back we lived in a town on the Conn shore with a beautiful town recreation facility on LI Sound. There are tennis courts, baseball, soccer and football fields, bocce, beach volleyball, a boat launch, etc etc. There is also a large number of picnic tables with cast iron barbecue grills. Many of us would make a Friday night of it. Of course, like all such places, teenagers thouhgt it might be a good place to have a few beers or such.
So, someone decided we need a new law prohibiting alcohol to stop the teenage drinking. What stupidity! All it did was stop adults from drinking - there is already a law in Conn (as elsewhere) that prohibits alcohol consumption under age 21.
If someone's dog is an issue - address the issue. Don't punish those of us who have well behaved pets. I can't tell you of the number of grandbabies there who want to pet my little guy. They smile that baby smile and dissolve into peals of laughter.
