I may not agree with many of President Obama's policies, and cannot for the life of me understand or justify some of his actions. However, he is still the President of the United States and our elected representative to the world stage. His actions and policies are only answerable to the US voters, not the British press.

If the Washington Post made such disparaging remarks about Queen Elizabeth II or Prime Minister Brown, the British would have good reason to consider the action offensive. This is no different.
