I agree to a large degree. And most parents today still demand their children behave.
HOWEVER, it is not so much school administrators being “AFRAID” to offend. It is school admins not being allowed by the parents to administer the rules and discipline the students anymore. And if the school does try to follow through, chances are the parents will sue.
The parents refused to send the kid home as requested by the admins. When parents expect the school to raise the child and yet handcuff the school’s discipline what do you think will happen?
Parents’ lawyers are now involved in every aspect of public education. Parents have also abandoned discipline at home. THEIR kid doesn’t need punishment bc their kid is special in some way or another. The inmates are now running the asylum.
