Speaking of Village IDs, I lost mine last week and I couldnt believe how fast and easy it was to get a replacement. I expected a long process with paperwork and silly questions. Went to the village office at Sumter next to Starbucks and was out in 15 minutes ($15 cost). People there were so nice and the new card was usable the next morning. Had some golf shop credit balance on the card ( which is how I pay for TV's course green fees) which got transferred automatically to the new card. The four-digit pin remained the same. My tee time at Glenview was still valid when I logged on to TV's online tee time system. Met some nice people at TV office, almost glad that I lost it! Well almost.
As far as getting rid of physical cards and using a smart phone ap, that would mean that I'd have to show my smart phone at both the pro shop and then the starter(like one does with their ID). I lost my ID somewhere from the pro shop to the starter. I would rather lose my ID card than lose my phone.
