Thanks for all the replies. Most think it is an animal that got inside the vent and died. We replaced the vent line right to the wall and found no dead animal. Others suggested it could be the washer. It’s not the washer. Always leave the lid up and there is no smell coming from it. When we use the dryer the cloths come out fine without that sweat/bo smell. It seems to be getting better each time we use it but it is still there. We have installed a fragrance canister in the laundry and that helps some. One reply was to buy a new dryer and trust me this smell is do bad the thought was there to do just that. I think because of a kink we found in the vent line the dryer couldn’t push the wet air out and over time the wetted lint built up in the back of the dryer creating the most disgusting smell I have ever encountered. It’s similar to the one Seinfeld had in his car after letting a valet guy park his car. Remember that one?
