For clarity, Michael Savage was banned from entering the U.K., and whether his radio broadcasts or podcasts get censored is another matter
The U.K., as well as the USA and most countries, has a "Do Not Enter" list for their immigration inspectors. Mr. Savage, for reasons determined by UK authorities, has been placed on that list, and cannot enter visa-free into the UK and is probably also banned from getting a visitor visa as well. Again, that is the U.K.'s lawful right.
The USA maintains a "Do Not Enter" list that also contains celebrities and common folk. Occasionally, one of the prohibitants gets denied boarding at a foreign airport, or is turned back once presenting him/herself at a USA Port of Entry for permission to enter. Contrary to popular belief, even if a person has a visa issued by the State Department, the person can still be denied entry into the USA by the Department of Homeland Security. It's the "check and balance" principle in action.
So, Mr. Savage can't visit London, Amy Winehouse can't visit New York, and Mr. Rushdie can't go many places. That's just the way of things in general, and definitely the price of notoriety.
