Obviously I don't want to hurt any dog, as you wouldn't either...but maybe carry a little spray bottle with you and give them a startle. I sure hope it's just little ones that are running out to you, because if not, it's time for some authoritative person step in...maybe write a ticket.
Eitherway, Merry Christmas
From my dad, who could make the most complex issues truly simple. In fact covers so many of these threads on different issues. Your rights end where the other person's rights begin. Someone allowing their dog to go on your side of the property line is clearly beyond where your rights begin.

A dog is a dog. By instinct the dog knows it's waste is dirty and disease carrying. The reason why the dog will not relieve itself on it's owners property. Dog owners, some are well strange. You can talk about anything, my husband, wife, lawn, golf cart even the truly important stuff like my lawn but, my dog and you will have a war.

When, your neighbor refuses to control their dog and you have told them so they are aware, there is no shortage of dog repellent products-no need to even explain to your neighbor why their dog no longer goes in YOUR yard.
