I proudly have a strange view of things. Many do, but if you allow others OPINIONS to effect your self opinion, you give them power that should be and is yours.
Tale of the pool. "I couldn't be in there pool." I assume a typeo, should be their pool.
In any case there are some strange rules around here also some strange people. I would check what the real story is. There are some pools where people can swim laps.
Some people assume they are chiefs. They need to be told off. Well enough so they realize you will not put up with their xxxxxx. As above, you may have given them power that should be yours.
