After 4 service tech visits, and twice testing of the modem, one tech suggested "technical adjustments were being made 'in Central'". Personally, it seems to me that CenturyLink's service facilities are overloaded, and they are doing rolling interruptions to consumer level customers to balance their service loads. We helped solve their problem (whatever it is) by switching to another carrier last week.

If the problem is their circa 1990's DSL service (and not their 21st century fiber service) they are probably trying to get everyone off it so they can shut it down.

Still running POTS lines and it's upkeep just ain't worth it. I wonder if they are still using the old AT&T relays in their CO. Seriously, It might be time to bite the bullet and switch to the devil, ComCrap. As bad as their CS is, their uptime, at least here in Amelia, has been close to 100% over my 5 years here. That is the only 2 options here. ComCrap and CL. I tried CL for about 2 days when we moved it and that was it.
