I felt the same way when I worked. I had employees that would come into my office and complain about everything. I couldn't understand why they worked there!! No one was holding a gun to their head. Find a better employer that doesn't frustrate you! But they stayed. Well... until I forced some of them out.

I expect you are the exception. And to look at it from another perspective, suppose you like many things about The Villages, but you have pet peeves. Are you supposed to just shut up and not mention them, when you know others feel the same way, and they are things that could be changed or improved if enough people felt that way? I think not. Its the same old argument you hear when people complain about some things in US politics. "If you don't like it, leave the country". To me, that is really disrespectful. I think the real patriots are those who are willing to voice their concerns, and do what it takes to initiate change. In the case of the Villages, it may come down to who we vote for Commissioners, or some such thing. I think its good to get the perceived weaknesses of our community out on display, so we can work on making things better. I just don't understand why people get so antagonistic about those who mention there might be problems.
