If you are handy or enjoy DIY it might be a simple DIY fix. Look up your model number, enter on Google and likely find dozens of YouTube videos to help. There isn't too much to a washer or dryer. If you want a new one, GO FOR IT! Our washer (~5 yrs old) recently stopped running and thanks to YouTube found out it was a bad lid lock switch. $13 and 36hrs later (thanks Amazon) it was fixed.
