My whirlpool was going the same thing a few months ago. Repair man said the noise wasn’t a problem with it working at that moment but it would eventually breakdown. I forget what he told us was wrong, but He told us it would cost about $ 400 to $500 to repair it. We lived with it until it sounded like a 747 taking off in our laundry room. We bought Whirlpool again at Lowe’s. My advice If you’re short, I’m 5’3”, test the reach. We shopped all the new fancy features, but didn’t check reach. I have to use salad tongs to get those socks at the bottom. Funny, but true. A real pain in the xxx. 😂
