Where a dog goes you can expect to also have unhealthy bacteria. We had a dog for many many years and would never think of being this dis respectable or inconsiderate. It should be a law and a fine for anyone using the Post Office or private property for dog walking.

Disrespectful is putting it mildly ! Had many dogs when the kids were growing up, so did nearly all our neighbors no matter where we lived, various states, communities, but THIS, in THE VILLAGES... it's beyond anything we've ever seen. Never in the communities we lived in as a family, with amenities of a golf course, club house, and several pools, did ANYONE EVER take their dog to the club house area, pool area, etc. to "relieve" itself. It's EVERY day at our mail box station, they bring them in strollers, in golf carts, they walk them there, anywhere but their own yard.... any neighbors yard will do (as long as it's a couple blocks away. They stand in the street and urge the dog into the yards of people they don't know. Right now the smell is not real bad, but in the summer months, it's more than anyone should have to endure as the pool is right next to their "dumping ground".... all over the grass, saw one couple with two young kids, probably grand kids. As kids do, they got off the golf cart bare foot as gram got the mail ... sure enough, just innocent kids, not running wild at all, just enjoying the warm climate, innocently walking in a small grassy area by the mail boxes ! I "think" it was probably meant to be an attractive area... not a filthy dump of dog dropping and yellow patches. But the summer months are the most unbelievable of all....some pet owners actually do pick up he droppings and put it in plastic bags...but take it to THEIR HOME and put it in their garbage..... never ! Many can not read apparently, "DO NOT dispose of dog feces in this container" , maybe have no idea what "feces" means ? ... can anyone imagine what it must be like to be the person who has to CLEAN THOSE every night ? The SMELL in the pool area on a hot summer day, coming out of those waste receptacles and off the piles on the surrounding grass. Always been surprised even the villages administration puts up with it, but, they can't act as dog police of course ! Just sad, such a nice community, and it takes all kinds as they say !
