That is simply not true. I raised and showed Labrador Retrievers for 35 years and have shipped them all over the world.
Airlines have very strict rules on cargo pet transportation. The outside temperature has to meet certain parameters the day your pet flies or they will not take them. They will not ship certain breeds (short noses) that could have breathing issues. You have to have a vet clearance within a specified time period. RARELY does a dog die when being transported. It is very safe to ship your dog but it is expensive.
