You're lucky that you were only paying $20. I've been paying $50 since we moved in. They also doubled our speed from 50mbp to 100mbp at no "extra" charge. We're locked in til May, and then I call them and threaten to cancel unless they give us whatever "deal" for new customers charges the same $50 as the last deal did.
That's what I do every year. At the end of the year, ALWAYS call them. That's how the deal works.
