Can't remember where I first heard this old saying that "religion is the last refuge of scoundrels."
As to " non-binary", there are some species that only require one sex to procreate. Also, recently heard of a species that has three distinct sexes. I don't believe any of those belong to any religion, but who am I to say.
As to sexual orientation, people can be prone to anything from straight heterosexual thru LGBT on to necrophilia, animals to inanimate objects and anything you can think of. To put it plainly, people are really weird.
