Not continuously, hit the plants for a minute every 30 minutes during frosty periods.

It’s a great idea and I have done it several times over the last few years here. The temperature of the irrigation water is probably 50 degrees when it comes out. The only problem is the spray won’t hit the top of taller plants and that is where the damage from frost/ freeze occurs first
