Everywhere I go now days people say "perfect" no matter what the situation, especially office workers. I always try to offer a preemptive "perfect" before he or she can strike. It often catches them off guard and they can be speechless for a few seconds. One guy on the phone even said perfect perfect as if being perfect once wasn't enough. We came from the West, and this is prevalent all across AZ, CA, NV, and even on the phone. I assume it is a national phenomenon. The word "awesome" sneaks in there at times. Maybe we are seeing an evolution of office lingo in the making.
