I'm not sure which information you are referring to...the public roads or golf cart use. You can verify the public roads with any of the 3 counties (Lake, Marion or Sumter) - the roads are turned over to the county when an area is complete. Since Villa roads do not meet certain requirements, these are retained by The Villages District. You can also verify this on the district web site www.districtgov.org

Golf cart laws are established by the State of Florida. The Villages provides multi-modal paths and tunnels along roads that are not golf cart accessible (Buena Vista, El Camino, Morse Blvd (south of CR466), which allows you to travel throughout the community safely in your golf cart. Just about all of the neighborhood streets share access - with connecting roads such as Belvedere Rd, Odell Circle, Morse Blvd (north of CR466), Bailey Trail, etc. having lanes specified for use by golf cars, bikers and walkers.

There is a golf cart safety class provided for free by The Villages Homeowner's Assoc. that will give you all of the information you need and is highly recommended!
