If you want Lithium-Ion, you can definitely get a system that uses several Li-ion batteries that are the size of the 8V Lead Acid batteries you probably have now. I got the impression (from the guy on YouTube for one) that those systems were more prone to problems than the one-piece drop-in RoyPow.

If you are interested, you can search YouTube and get a lot of information. Also, there is a forum called "BuggiesGoneWild" which has a sub-forum on Club Cars, and a sub-sub-forum on lithium conversions. Lots of information from people who've done the conversions. Club Car Golf Carts - Electric
