That is balanced out by the riding mowers being 10 times as loud. And electric push mowers would be barely audible. Doing a yard requires weed eaters, edgers, and leaf blowers - ALL noisemakers. So, set a watch - it takes more than a few minutes. If you don't hear the noise for some reason, it SEEMS it takes only a few minutes. But, if you are bothered by it then it SEEMS very long. People have varying degrees of resistance to noise, but scientists say that everyone is affected negatively by noise. No one really LIKES noise. That is why it is used as a method of torture! I hope no one disagrees with that.
