We were told by our Villages realtor that there are sections in these villages where you won't here the turnpike noise. For the most part that is true because when you look at them during the day all you hear is construction noise. We made a visit to these areas on a Sunday night and were shocked at how loud it is. We are really surprised that these houses are still selling like crazy even with the loud highway noise.
Besides the crazy prices of new and used home is anyone concerned about these homes down the road?

I was a Realtor (in the mid-west) for 41 years and here are a couple thoughts: if you are thinking that the noise might bother you then it probably will. Do what my wife and I did. We visited half a dozen times to see how we would live and then bought in that general part of TV. We frequent Savannah, The Sharon and the Black Box (Tierra del Sol) and we wanted to be close to shopping so we purchased just north of 466 and completely redid a 14 year-old home. We love the quiet, the location (location, location, location) and the convenience of where we live. Best of luck to you.
