We have a 2017 Quietech, and it accelerates very well, however, a couple of months ago, my wife noticed some problems with slow or NO start, turns out it was the battery. I replaced, and we had a new cart! In your case I would not expect the battery on an brand new cart to be bad, but it would not be a bad idea to have it checked, and possibly the voltage regulator.
I am going to guess that the drive belt or clutch is slipping, you might have one of the mobile golf cart service (Todd Casey, Willies) check the cart and see if they find a problem.
