Don't be sorry. It is true that there is a never-ending subject of "dog poop" threads. Seems many of the dog owners, but not all of them, will never admit to understanding that whenever they or their pup on a rope set foot in another person's yard they are trespassing. They use every and any argument they can think of to justify their rude, selfish and self-entitled behavior.
I also have a corner lot, so I understand your frustration. So many seem to believe that breaking laws, being respectful of their neighbors, or being truly responsible pet owners allows that, if they haven't been told otherwise, they can do anything they please. I have confronted a few of these folks over the years, and you wouldn't believe the self-righteous indignation and out right aggression I have faced from most of them. Sadly, the rule against posting signs in your yard prevents us from "keep off the lawn" or "no dogs" signs. That, imo, should be an allowable exception, since it might help avoid nasty confrontations that could have the potential of becoming dangerous.
It is often difficult to realize that the dog is not the problem. The problem is the self-entitled or oblivious owner.
