Not over reacting, imho. Small inconvenience? Someone has taken possession of your property without permission, and used it. Same principle as taking possession of your car, with out your permission, for a joyride then returning it to where they found it. Imo, you are trying to make light of a situation that to many is very unpleasant, to say the least.

I disagree with you on this. I am pretty sure the law would also not agree that having one's dog defecate on someone's lawn is a transgression equal to "borrowing" someone's car. Yep, pretty sure about that.
Furthermore, I don't think stepping onto someone's lawn is trespassing, unless a "no trespassing" sign is prominently displayed. I could be wrong on that one, but I think it is so.
I stand by my statement that equating dog poop to car stealing, and trespass is "over reacting"...but, hey, that's just me.
Not cleaning it up, or continuing to do it despite cleaning it up after being asked not to, is IMO rude and being a bad neighbor.
